Over 10.000 electric vehicles owners will receive the ambiental badge that identifies pure electric vechicles (BEV), autonomic electric vehicles (REEV), hydrogen vehicles (HICEV) and hybrid vehicles (PHEV) with a minimum autonomy of 40 kilometers run in electric mode exclusively.
The Traffic General Direction goal is to identify in a national level those “zero local emissions” vehicles and facilitate councils the implantation of positive discrimination measures (taxes, traffic management, parking, etc) in their boroughs.
The Traffic General Direction has lead this pioneer initiative in Europe,
taking support from LIVE Platform to define and coordinate content to identify this type of vehicles. Also, it take supports from the leading brands such as Renault and Nissan, as well as companies and producers that are investing in vehicles powered by alternative energies, as Ecooltra, Urbaser and BMW.
From now, when registering a new “zero emissions” vehicle, an ambiental distinctive badge will be given to their owner. The colocation of the distinctive badge is optional but its colocation is recommendable for the quick identification of the vehicle.
