Meanwhile, the Directorate General of Environmental Quality has awarded the Badge of environmental quality to the fleet of low emission to the Metropolitan Taxi Institute (IMET ). The fleet is comprised by 2,482 hybrid vehicles that run on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG ) or natural gas. The category of fleet vehicles aims to contribute to the reduction of pollution that comes from the city transport; to promote eco-efficiency and energy saving and to minimize environmental impacts and promote sustainable development. In addition , it should contribute to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases from transport, becoming an element of competitiveness by reducing energy costs and the prioritization of these fleets in the context of public booking.

Regarding the management of the fleet, for obtaining the Distinction its considered the environmental commitment of the company or professional actions to optimize routes, the measures to reduce travel, the registration and monitoring of vehicle fuel consumption and the environmental management plan. Concerning the knowledge of the drivers, the keys are the efficient driving training manuals and efficient driving. It also controls the type and condition of the vehicle, maintenance criteria, the age of the fleet vehicle and low-emission vehicles available, and other actions of environmental commitment, as the implementation of recognized environmental management systems, and momentum measures to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases.

After being presented in EVS27 and in the Salon de Valladolid, the electric van i-N-V200 will be available for sale between the months of May and June.

Although its main purpose is commercial, the vehicle will also feature a finish design tought for individual use, especially for large families. In the case of the Nissan i-N-V200 commercial, will have a loading area while the other variant will be used to place more seats.

The new electric Nissan combines the electric Nissan LEAF technology with the features and capacity of the NV200. Mechanically, the van will have the same characteristics as the LEAF, with 80 kW and a24 kWh battery. The i-N-V200 will have a quick-charge system that will recover 80% of its charge in 20 minutes, if the battery is not fully discharged, and offers the possibility to also recharge in a household outlet. As for efficiency, the van will have 170km of autonomy for each load.

Based on the model NV200, the i-N-V200 has undergone major changes and not only aesthetic, to ensure that perfectly suits his role as urban passenger or cargo van. That is why, the engine and transmission have been adapted to the requirements of a commercial vehicle and changes have been made to the body so that the capacity of the NV200 was not affected.[:]
