The Nissan Leaf causes a furore in Barcelona

Between January 22nd and 24th, 450 people took part in a campaign to test drive a Nissan Leaf in Barcelona’s streets. The car manufacturer, which is one of the LIVE platform’s managing members, made 10 electric vehicles available to users to test drive in the city’s streets over the weekend. Users were accompanied and guided by a member of the test-drive team, who cleared up any technical problems or issues regarding how these electric vehicles work.

For the 3 days that they were in the test-drive area of L’Illa Shopping Centre, the 10 Nissan Leaf vehicles did an average of 250 kilometres per car per day, covering a total of over 7,500 kilometres.

Despite the kilometres they covered and tests to which they were subjected – some 15 cycles per day -, charging the vehicles was no problem. The team from Nissan used the rapid charge points in Sants, Diagonal and Sagrada Família, and so with a stop of about 20 minutes per car per day, they had enough to travel the 7,500 kilometres covered during the three days.
This was yet another sign of Nissan’s commitment to electric mobility and to its promotion and dissemination.
