The Vallès Integral Freight Center (CIM Vallès in catalan) recently acquired a hybrid vehicle that will reduce CO2 emissions by 3,600 kilograms a year.
During the past year 2014, CIM Vallès’ security service traveled a total of 72048 km in surveillance rounds made with a diesel engine vehicle. With the commissioning of a new hybrid vehicle, it has been estimated that emissions will be cut by 40% to help minimize pollution and improve air quality.
Incorporating more sustainable vehicles is part of the overall process of CIMALSA to increase sustainability at the logistics centers that manages, as well as meeting the requirements that come with being a collaborating member of the LIVE platform.
In the forthcoming weeks, Punt i Control, whom was awarded the security services and monitoring of integrated freight stations managed by CIMALSA will allocate another hybrid vehicle with similar characteristics in the Lleida Integral Freight Center (CIM Lleida).
